Craps betting and playing

The following rules apply for playing one of the most exciting dice-games, namely Craps.

Pass Line Bet: This bet wins if the Shooter rolls a 7 or 11 and loose if it 2, 3, or 12. If the outcome is another – then it becomes a point number. In this case you win if you roll a 7 after you rolled the point number. However, if you roll the 7 before you have rolled the pass number you loose. Finally, if you roll another number you must roll as long as you either make a point or a seven. Payout: 1:1

Don’t Pass Line Bet: This bet is basically the exact opposite of the Pass Line Bet. Don’t Pass Line bets win if the outcome of your roll is 2 or 3 and they loose if it is 7 or 11. If the Shooter rolls a 12 at the beginning of the game, the bet becomes a “Push” and the player receives his bet back. However, if you roll any other number than 2, 3, 7, 11, or 12, it becomes a point number. Don’t Pass Line Bets win if the Shooter rolls a 7 before a point, and they loose if it proves otherwise. It is important to know that Don’t Pass Line Bets can be withdrawn or reduced if the Shooter rolls the dices for the second time. Payout: 1:1

Come Bets: This bet is almost the same as the Pass Line Bet. The players place their Come Bets after a point number was made by the Shooter’s first roll. Just like the Pass Line Bets, the Come bets win if the Shooters following roll is a 7 or 11 and they loose if it is a 2, 3, or 12. If the Shooter’s outcome is a 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, or 10 then it turns to a come number. The Come Bets win if the Shooter hits the point number before the 7 and loose in the reversed case. Come Bets are very popular in Online Casinos. Payout: 1:1

Don’t Come Bets: As you might have guessed, the Don’t Come Bets are very similar to the Don’t Pass Line Bets. This kind of bet is placed after the player’s first roll, if the point number is certain. The Don’t Come Bets win if the outcome of the subsequent roll is a 2 or 3, and if it is 7 or 11, they loose. If the Shooter rolls a 12 it turns to a Push. If the numbers 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, or 10 are rolled - they become a point bet. The Point Bets win if the Shooter rolls a point number after a 7 and they loose if it proves otherwise. The Don’t Come Bets can just like the Don’t Pass Bets be modified or withdrawn. Payout: 1:1

Hint: As soon as you have rolled a point number, you should place an additional bet to your original one. This special bet is also called “Odds” and is usually offered by Casinos at a fair rate (without the house edge) – therefore, it is highly recommended. American Casinos sometimes offer the chance for “Double Odds”.
